Purpose of the Role
The Personal Assistant will be responsible for providing high-level administrative support to the Headmistress. This role plays a vital part in ensuring effective communication and operational efficiency within the school.
Key Responsibilities
As a Personal Assistant, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Administrative Support
- Provide comprehensive administrative and organizational support to the Headmistress.
- Manage diaries, schedules, travel arrangements, and logistics with accuracy and efficiency.
- Communication
- Handle correspondence, screen information, and draft responses with sound judgement.
- Engage confidently with parents, pupils, and external partners.
- Organizational Management
- Maintain accurate filing systems, records, and meeting minutes.
- Support strategic planning processes and contribute to policy implementation.
This role requires a proactive approach to organizational support and communication within a fast-paced educational environment.
Minimum Requirements
To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: A matriculation certificate (NQF Level 4). A tertiary qualification in a relevant field will be highly advantageous.
- Work Experience: At least 3–4 years of experience in executive support or school administration.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and research abilities.
- Professional discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Other Requirements: Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of school management systems such as EdAdmin will be advantageous.
