The Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) has announced new vacancies under DPSA Circular 39 of 2025 at Maluti TVET College.     Salary: R228 321 per annum (Level 05)

Requirements:

  • A National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or NCV Level 4 qualification.
  • A National Diploma or Degree in Secretarial Studies, Management Assistant, or Office Management and Technology.
  • Minimum of three months’ experience in office administration or secretarial work (experience in a TVET or public institution will be an added advantage).
  • Sound knowledge of Public Service Act, Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), and Records Management Procedures.
  • Excellent typing speed (minimum of 65 words per minute) and computer literacy in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • The ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively under pressure.

Duties:

  • Provide professional secretarial and administrative support to managers within the Academic and Financial Management directorates.
  • Coordinate meetings, manage diaries, and handle correspondence.
  • Record, type, and distribute minutes and other confidential documents.
  • Prepare travel claims, requisitions, and payments in line with departmental policies.
  • Maintain filing and record management systems (both manual and electronic).
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and ensure document traceability.
  • Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Support office projects, events, and communication processes as directed by management.
