Purpose of the Role

The Education, Training & Development Quality Assurance Officer (ETDQA Officer) will be responsible for managing and overseeing quality assurance processes within the ETDP SETA. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with national quality standards and enhancing the overall quality of education and training within the sector. Key Responsibilities

As an ETDQA Officer, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  1. Quality Assurance:
    • Implement and monitor quality assurance policies and procedures.
    • Ensure compliance with ETQA processes and QCTO requirements.
  2. Skills Development:
    • Oversee the accreditation, assessment, moderation, and verification processes.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to promote continuous improvement in skills development.
  3. Reporting:
    • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on quality assurance activities and outcomes.
    • Maintain accurate records of all quality assurance processes.

This role requires a proactive approach to ensuring industry standards and enhancing stakeholder satisfaction.

Minimum Requirements

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Education, Training and Development or Public/Business Management or Administration.
  • Work Experience: Minimum four years’ experience in skills development, preferably in quality assurance.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Knowledge of ETQA processes and Skills Development legislation.
    • Strong MS Office and IMS skills.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Valid driver’s licence is mandatory.
