Purpose of the Role

The Grant Administrator will be tasked with providing high-quality customer care and administrative services related to social grant applications. This role is crucial in helping SASSA meet its commitments to timely and effective social support delivery to communities across the North West province.

Key Responsibilities

As a Grant Administrator, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Customer Service:
    • Provide comprehensive grant customer care services, ensuring quality interactions with clients.
    • Administer off-site grant application services.
  2. Application Processing:
    • Screen and capture grant applications accurately.
    • Manage and update beneficiary information.
  3. Medical Assessments:
    • Facilitate medical bookings and client assessments.
  4. Administrative Duties:
    • Manage scanning and batching of grant files to maintain seamless record-keeping.

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must meet the following criteria to be eligible:

  • Educational Qualification: NQF Level 6 qualification in Public Management, Business Management, or Management Science, recognized by SAQA.
  • Work Experience: Prior clerical or administrative experience is advantageous.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Proficient in computer literacy.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Other Requirements: A valid driver’s license is an added advantage.
