Purpose of the Role
As a Professional Nurse at Right to Care, you will be at the forefront of health service delivery, engaging with community health initiatives and providing crucial care in campaigns aimed at TB and HIV management. This role is pivotal in ensuring the health and wellness of South African communities through dedicated care and support.
Key Responsibilities
- TB Services (35%)
- Implement MECC principles and update patient folders
- Conduct TB screening, testing, and management
- Provide adherence support and integrate TB/HIV services
- HIV Services (35%)
- Perform HIV screenings and manage patient referrals
- Handle viral load management and PrEP/self-screening referrals
- Health Promotion (10%)
- Plan and execute daily awareness and educational activities
- Administration (10%)
- Maintain healthcare records and support facility operations
- Information Management (10%)
- Collaborate on data management and reporting
Additional responsibilities may include participation in community outreach and health campaigns, enhancing wellness through proactive engagements.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for these roles, candidates must possess:
- Educational Qualification: Diploma in Nursing (General, Midwifery, Community, Psychiatry)
- Registration: Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
- Training: NIMART and Adult PACK training
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in a similar role, especially working with HIV-positive patients
- Other Requirements: Valid driver’s license and access to own transport
