Key Responsibilities
As a NAIS Occupational Hygiene Learner, your main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting Registered Occupational Hygienists:
- Support during monitoring surveys.
- Collaborate in data analysis.
- Report Preparation:
- Draft and refine accurate survey reports.
- Ensure timely submission of documentation.
- Equipment and Maintenance:
- Participate in the calibration and maintenance of monitoring equipment.
- Coordinate with teams for equipment readiness.
This role demands a proactive approach to adhering to the established safety and quality management systems, ensuring consistency in service and output.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Recent graduate with a degree in Occupational Hygiene or currently pursuing a part-time Hygiene qualification.
- Work Experience: Experience in a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Basic understanding of occupational hygiene principles.
- Competence in using monitoring instruments like air sampling pumps.
- Excellent attention to detail and procedural adherence.
- Other Requirements:
- Preference for employment equity candidates.
- Valid driver’s license or in process of acquiring one.
- Own transport is beneficial.
