Purpose of the Role
As an Internal Sales Agent, you will be at the heart of Boxer’s efforts to penetrate deeper into South Africa’s informal trade sector. You will facilitate the supply of our comprehensive basket of grocery products to vendors across rural communities. This role is crucial in supporting Boxer’s mission to empower small businesses and ensure they have access to affordable, quality products.
Key Responsibilities
As a key player in our sales team, your responsibilities will include:
- Cold Calling – Initiate contact with independent stores and rural vendors to introduce our products.
- Identify potential customers in the informal trade sector.
- Maintain a high volume of daily calls with a proactive approach.
- Product Promotion and Sales – Actively promote and sell our grocery products.
- Tailor sales pitches to meet the unique needs of each client.
- Upsell additional products where feasible to maximize sales.
- Customer Relationship Management – Build and sustain robust relationships with clients.
- Understand and address customer needs effectively.
- Ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Sales Target Achievement – Meet and exceed sales targets to drive company growth.
- Track personal and team sales progress, strategizing to reach goals.
- Record Keeping – Keep detailed records of customer interactions and sales activities.
- Provide regular reports on sales performance.

Minimum Requirements
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Educational Qualification: Matric (Grade 12 / National Certificate).
- Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in telesales or similar sales roles within a retail environment.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Proven sales acumen.
- Proficiency in Excel for tracking and reporting purposes.
- Attributes: Self-motivated, resilient, results-driven, and customer-focused.
